San Rafael is a small village situated between Ibiza town and San Antonio.  It has one main road running through the town which has many popular restaurants (especially busy on a Sunday).  The village is also well known for it's traditional pottery shops and is the only village on the island declared an artisan area.  On the outskirts of the village you will find the hipodrome which has traditional horse trotting races on Saturdays.  The local church dates from 1786 and is a typical whitewashed Ibicencan church.  However San Rafael is probably better known for the famouse clubs "Privilege and Amnesia" which are situated between the village and Ibiza town.
